OK the solution for this was to edit the Firmware_FW3.8_for_True-D_V3.5\pololu-cp2102-windows\dpinst.xml" file and change the code for US English (<language code="0x0409">) to UK English (<language code="0x0809">) or to whatever you regional code is on your PC. Regional codes can be found here
